Choosing a finish...

Wax, paint or bare wood - the choice is yours...

Most of our restored antique pine furniture is shown online in its natural stripped state — ready for you to choose a finish that suits your home. We offer professional waxing and painting services so you can customise your piece to match your style.

Waxed Antique Pine Finishes

Many customers choose a waxed pine finish to bring out the natural character of the wood.

  • Cost: Waxing is charged at 10% of the item’s price (minimum £25).

  • Example: A wardrobe priced at £795 would cost £79.50 to wax.

  • Example: A chest of drawers priced at £450 would cost £45.

Wax Options

  • Clear Wax — available at the same 10% surcharge. This preserves the natural pale colour of pine while giving a soft sheen.

  • Briwax P7 (Medium Brown) and Fiddes (Stripped Pine) — professional-grade waxes that add a warm, honey-brown tone, the classic look of antique pine.

Painted Pine Furniture

For a more contemporary or bespoke look, many customers prefer a painted finish.

  • Cost: Painting typically adds 20% to the item’s price (minimum £50)..

  • Paint Options: We can paint in any brand and colour.

  • Our recommended choice is Farrow & Ball, known for its timeless palette.

  • We also work with Dulux Heritage, Fired Earth, Little Greene, Frenchic and other high-quality brands.

Painted antique pine furniture works beautifully in both modern and traditional interiors, allowing you to coordinate your new piece with your existing décor.

Bespoke Matching & Customer Records

We keep records of previous purchases and the finishes applied. If you are a returning customer, we can match your new item to existing pieces for a consistent and coordinated look.
